Whip Of The Week : Väth Tuning Program for Mercedes E-Class E63 AMG
Väth Automobiltechnik thought that the already top performer Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG needed some improvements and decided to spruce it up a bit more. Väth bored out the cylinders, fitted new pistons, valves, cam shafts, intake and tweaked the ECU for an extra 87 horsepower, bringing the total up to 605, resulting in 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 211 mph. Next a new grille, front and rear spoilers, carbon fiber diffuser, 20-inch modular rims, a suspension dropped by 30 millimeters, and huge 390mm brake discs gripped by eight-piston calipers up front. The interior also got some improvements, such as carbon fiber accents velour floor mats with the embroidered Väth logo.
